What is a Young Adult?

A young adult is anyone who has left high school that finds themselves in any sort of beginning stage. Some of our young adults are college students. Some are out of college starting new jobs. Some are beginning married life. Still others may have small children at home. These stages of life don't all happen in your twenties, so we don't like putting a hard age limit on them! Here at New Hope we offer two different groups that pertain to what we broadly define as "Young Adulthood."

Sunday School

We strive to address all parts of life in our Young Adults ministry. We use Sunday School as a way to dive into big topics in a small group setting. We have gone through the series The Art of Parenting, The Art of Marriage, and Experiencing God. Conversation is a big part of what we do here, and we benefit from a wide range of viewpoints and life experiences as we look at God's Word and help one another apply it to our lives. Come grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some great company on Sunday morning!

Bible Study

On Thursday nights at 7:30, we dive deep into God's Word. Above all, we seek to know the God who has created and called each one of us into a special relationship with Him and with each other. At New Hope we believe the Scriptures are crucial to our experiencing God, and so we take time to do that together as Young Adults. Questions are our favorite things, and we never pass on a good one! Join us as we mine the Scriptures to find what they mean and how we are called to live by them.

Meet Patrick

My name is Patrick Nichols, and I am the Young Adults/Young Families minister here at New Hope Church. I'm passionate about teaching, and I enjoy very few things as much as exploring the questions you've always had but either have never been able to ask or haven't been able to fully understand. I strive to help Christians grow in their faith, spiritual gifts, and leadership abilities in all areas of life: personal, family, and church. You have a place and a calling in God's church, and I would love to help you find it.
